We are building dev tools to reliably build, evaluate and monitor LLM-based products. While prototyping an LLM-based application is easy, shipping a production-ready feature requires to track and evaluate your experiments, collect human feedback and monitor the performance. We are committed to building the tools empowering AI engineers to efficiently build AI products that are not just prototypes, but sustainable solutions.

Since our launch, we created a community of 4K users on Discord. Chainlit has over 7K stars on Github. Literal AI is already used by multiple large companies. We are backed by a leading VC and renowned Business Angels.

🤓 About the role

As one of the first software engineers, you will:

• Assume a crucial role in setting the technical trajectory of our product and company,
• Contribute to building the AI tools for the next generation of AI-based features,
• Work within the engineering team and with customers, be proactive in suggesting new features and new ideas,
• Collaborate closely with the founders and more generally help shape the company and the product.

💻 About our stack

We use TypeScript, Next.js, Shadcn, Tailwind, PostgreSQL, Prisma for the platform and Python, FastAPI for the Open-Source App Framework.

👾 About you

You’ll be a great match if you meet these requirements…

• Expertise in one or more general-purpose programming languages, including but not limited to TypeScript or Python.
• Solid experience with databases, with a preference for Postgres.
• A working knowledge of NextJS or equivalent, or a readiness to learn.
• Proven capability to take full ownership of projects, empathize with users, understand/write project specifications, and manage the end-to-end execution of features.
• Motivation to be a founding engineer. A passion for working in a fast-paced, dynamic & agile startup environment.
